Completists and Collectors

Having marvelled at the new Giant Swiss Army Knife, I wonder if the time is right for a Giant OPAC: one that includes every conceivable search and retrieval tool. Forget the practicality, let’s show off a bit. Let someone else worry about whether it’s so heavy it’ll pull your trousers down if you carry it in your pocket. If nothing else it would be a publicity stunt, a way to engage our users in our internal debates about the ideal OPAC.
